I found out about Michael's company Custom Remodeling and Restorations after looking around online to find someone to remove a flimsy decorative handrail that was installed on a staircase in my home when it was built in the 70's . Michael custom built and installed a new wooden stair rail on site and painted it for me at a very reasonable price . It looks so much nicer than what was there and is rock solid . Right from the beginning he listened very intently to what I wanted , made suggestions & completed the job just days after he came out to do the estimate . He showed up on time the day he said he would to do the estimate and again on the day he came to do the job. He does top notch work and you can tell he takes pride in what he does. He has a very pleasant demeanor and is a man of his word , which means a lot to me in this day & age . I am already talking to him about some other projects I need done. My Mother who is 84 years old and has Dementia was there the day he came out to do the job and he was very engaging and kind to her as well ... Remember that old saying "You can tell a lot about a man by the way he treats his Mother" or in this case , someone else 's Mother . I needed some help with some projects in a rental house that I was renovating. I needed 2 sets of doors installed (storm and inside) on each side of the house, and 2 oak railings and iron balusters installed on the main stairs in the house. I needed things done rather quickly and I went to the Internet to find help. Michael Bingaman had excellent reviews so I contacted him. He adjusted his schedule to help me out. I ordered doors and he picked them up (I couldn’t pick up and I saved on delivery). He started early in the morning and worked until finished. Excellent work. Great guy, good sense of priorities, attention to detail, reliable, and gave great recommendations on installation ideas that saved money and just made sense.
